Ok, I was wondering what the main difference would be between a 136 board and a 142? I am 5'9" 170 lb I have the Hyperlite TFD 136 biolite but was wondering if the 142 TFD boilite might be better for me. I can get up and stay up and I am going to learn to jump ASAP. Will I even notice the difference? I rode a 136 hyperlite 2002 byerly all summer and liked it. The TFD 136 is my first board. It is still new so i could exchange it if i wanted to. Thanks for ANY help _________________ Fat Kids are much harder to Kidnap... |

Well, mainly all the difference is how big it is(i think thats the only difference ), just demo a 142 and see if you like it before purchasing one. |

im not sure why u cant get up...
but a 142 definatley would make life easier, but if your adavancing to spins after jumps, your gonna wish u still had the 136 becuase its a big difference from 142
but demo is ur best option, if not i heard some website sends out boards to demo.... _________________ Wake Forest University |

I think the 142 would be too big of a board for you.
I have a Belmont 141 (last years Motive) and I'm 6' 185lbs...and I could probably use a shorter board. _________________ So, I've got that goin' for me...which is nice! |

| WELL if ur going to hit sliders the 136 would be ur best choose on the boat u would so slitely bigger not like 136 to a 142 but like 136 to a 139 or 140 boat little bigger slider little smaller |

I personally like the longer boards because they feel more stable on landings and I seem to get a bit more pop due to more surface area. The only real downside is swing weight. If you are already spinning good, I would get the 142. If you are working on your spins, get the 136 _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

| I personly like smaller boards because you have more control of the board, instead of the other way around |
