I'm trying to get into editing I really find it fascinating, but i'm having a little trouble understanding how to use premiere pro (which I currently have). Might it be better to start of with say premiere 6.5? Recommendations? thanks.

6.5 isn't any easier. get a book. it helps a lot! there are several out there for premiere pro.
