I'm currently looking into buying a 2002 Aztec wakeboarding boat and was curious if anyone has any info about these boats. Please feel free to email me or reply to this post.

Cool

don't do it...
I have never ridden behind one but everyting I have heard and read says they suck.

Look at the hull, it's 100% ski boat.

For around that price range I would look into a late 90's Sport Nautique or even Super Sport Nautique. It may be a little older but the quality is untouchable. But, test the aztec and if you like it go for it.

Aztec is a peice of crap from what i've herd. gfo for the Sport/Super Sport Nautique. love the wake on mine! aztec uses low quality products to build their boats. Brad Embleton is right whe he says "run run away!!!"

They are a wakeboard-looking bass boat. One of the fishing boat Mfgrs makes them. I wont say that they're crap. I've never ridden behind one. They do have a couple of odd things about them. The most memorable odd thing is the way the rudder shaft is visible outside the transom. It is a different approach to a wakeboard boat. I'd say that its way better than the SkiDoo X boat but possibly not as good for wake boarding as most of the other ski boat mfgrs.

I rode behind a new one a few years ago, and it SUCKED! It is a worthless boat. It couldn't keep a constant speed, it had major rollers on the wake, and it had a major vibration problem. The swim platform caused the rollers on the wake, it was nice and big, but when the boat got up on plane, the platform drug in water. I agree with bryce, get a used nautique. I've got a 1993, and haven't had 1 problem.
