Can anyone tell me the approx. demensions of the rear trunk on a 00' Eclipse direct drive (see pic)? I am planning to weight it, but the boat is 300 miles away from me right now in storage. I was thinking about these ski locker sacs. There deminsions are like 19'' X 58'' (600 #'s). Will that fit in the back trunk.

No, but I have always thought the Centurions are sharp looking boats.

I have a 750 lb Big Bump sack from gethighsports.com in the back locker of my Mobius. It feels it up quite nicely. I would look into getting that. Rather have one big one than 2-3 smaller ones. You also don't want too much weight in the back.

I would rather have a big one too, but my question is will it fit? that trunk, as you can see from the pic, is not that big.

yes it will fit. Your rear trunk should be about the same size as mine.

I will try to measure my Eclipse.

Jon, how deep is your trunk and what is under it? For some reason I'm thinking the gas tank is under it.

Also, you mentioned that you used a 4 x 8 or something like that for additional support. Did you just lay that in the trunk, or did you actually mount it in some way.

Thanks!

I'm sure the dimensions of the rear trunk aren't the same but they both should be able to fit this sack. I wouldn't expect that much difference from the Mobius and the Eclipse for one not to fit this sack. Yes, I put a 2 x 8 in the rear trunk, not installed or anything, just laid in there. Under the regular flooring is the gas tank. I put this wood there so that the sack would not sit on the floor and possibly damage the gass tank. The board is supported at both ends by something hard under the floor. I'm not sure what it is but its working. I chose the thicker wood so it would not flex as much.

The gas tank as i have found out is right under the storage area of the trunk. The trunk is not very deep either. mabey 12 in. it is plenty wide. Do they make a sac that is not very big in diameter. Is it ok to put weight above the gas tank like that? i am not looking for much weight, is lead the better way to go.

Kaben, did you get a nice wake from this boat?
Thanks all

Chris
