Just got national certified and start my first year as a patroller on my local mountain. Was thinking about moving out somewhere better than this(anywhere out west I guess Laughing ) though and wasnt sure how jobs were. I could patrol and instruct(doing both now) at least that's what I hope to do. Not sure how pay would be patrolling or whatnot and I'm a little curious as to how it all works.

Would I need to just apply to some resorts online first? I cant exactly afford to fly to alot of different resorts for interviews.

If you have a local mountain you should look into becoming one, see if it's something you could do. Wink

So far to patrol out west I've heard they just look for experience. Maybe a year or 2 here and I'll see what happens.

Depends on where you're looking at... one thing to concider is finding a resort on the east coast that is partners/owns another resort out west, then you can transfer within the company, it is alot easier that way.
