| PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE..... just keep doing it. Everyone learn at a different pace. the more you do it will eventually "click" and you'll get it. |

It took me a while also. Getting a good progressive edge will definatly help with pop. What helped me a whole bunch is watching my buddies do it. I watched a lot of videos but I found that if I watched my friends and then hopped in and tried it it was easier to figure out.

wakeagu,
Look into getting a lesson or going to a clinic. Its amazing how much a good rider can help. The little things make all the difference |

If you want to learn to edge correctly ride finless! It will take you all of about 1 hour to learn! _________________ "The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed."

| One thing I've found really helps me with my edge when I'm cutting in heelside is dropping my rear hand before I start my approach to the wake. So I cut out on my toes to however far out I want to go, then drop my rear hand and start to let the boat pull me back in. As I start to set my edge back into the wake, I pull the handle in towards my hip (with my lead hang) and regrab it with my rear hand. For some reason this really seems to help me set a solid edge and hold it through the wake. Maybe it's just something that works for me, but I'd suggest giving it a try. |
