the house at the end of my street is getting torn down and rebuilt. apparently there's a pool in the back. I'd like to check it out and see if it's skateable. What do you guys think would be the best way to approach the construction workers and ask them if i can skate their pool. |

Just go straight up and ask. If you have an attitude or anything or go without their permission, they will most definitely say no. Just come off with charm and say It's a once in a lifetime chance and ask. _________________ www.Tigeowners.com

The Headless Chicken, ive always wanted to skate an empty pool but never have got the chance to. you gotta do it no matter how that would be so sweet if it was skateable.
You can always bring some flood lights and go at like 2 in the morning haha.
Id say either take your chances and ask them, or go on like a sunday afternoon when they arent working and just skate your heart out. _________________

I would do it at night. You probably won't be allowed to skate there anyway so I think asking will be futile. I have skated pools at night when there is a full moon and there was enough light to skate. As good as daylight? No, but hey I think it might be the only chance you have. _________________ I once saw a fork lift pick up a pallet of forks, it was way too literal for me. |

My freshman year in college, two friends of mine and I got a house to rent (One of the friends dad's house) and it had an empty 10 ft pool. It had about 3 feet of vert. We bladed it and skated it (Even hotboxed the changing rooms). It was incredible. The deep end had a diving board that my roommate could grab it on a board and I could clear on skates. When we weren't skating it, we had DJ's in it spinning mixes for parties.
Its an amazing experience to skate a pool. Just ask, I am sure they won't mind, just do the full on "This is my dream" speech. _________________ Steal My Book

yeah it's not going to be the workers who care. They won't be held liable for you hurting yourself. As long as you're not in their way they shouldn't care unless they just don't like skaters.
The people you have to worry about are the owners. Hopefully they're not living there.. |
