Currently I am riding behind a '96 Ski Nautique with around 1800 lbs of ballast. I love my wake, but I would like some more room.

I'm looking to upgrade the boat next year, but don't want to break the bank. For the price I can't help but think about a Mobius LSV. For the most part you can get one of these fully loaded (tower/racks, PP, Bertha ballast system, wake plate, etc) for what other manufacturers start their base prices at.

I've read plenty of threads about quality issues as far as little stuff like cup holders, etc. However, I'm more concerned with the wake. Can anyone tell me what the wake is like? (and yes, I plan on demoing one before I buy).

Is the wake mellow, hard, rampy, vertical, washed out, clean? Do you need any extra sacs to go along with the 3 bag bertha system or is the stock ballast plenty?

Any replies from people who have ACTUALLY ridden behind one will be greatly appreciated!

hey dude your chocie is good. the Mobius LSV is a nice boat, with plenty of room.

when weighted properly this wake can be a huge monster. its a clean harder, rampy, vertical wake. its not as rampy as the x series but not striaght up like a malibu, its inbetween a little of both.

i would say if you are a serious rider looking for some improvment the regular ballast is never enoough for the avid rider. in one of the LSV's i ride behind is weighted with two 680's on both sides and 650 in the locker and a 680 in top of that with some sandbags etc also in front. and this boat throws a wake no one could be unsatisfied with. very very nice i love riding behind it.

im not to shore on the whole wake plate thing yet i havnt ridden behind too many boats that have one and have had it adjusted much but i hear its pretty awesome.

all in all the mobe LSV is a god boat and throws a sick wake when you treat it right. good luck man

When the wake plate is all the way up the wake is nice and steep with a real nice lip
