Revert vs. Fakie

Hey.. can someone tell me what the difference between 'to revert' and 'to fakie' are?

Well in a lot of situations they can mean the same thing.

'to revert' means landing a trick with a fs 180 in it. This usually applies to inverts such as the roll to revert.

'to fakie' means you are starting off regular and landing switch (fakie). If you are making your cut and going in regular and you do a backroll with a 180 you could call it a roll to revert or a roll to fakie. But if you cut in switch and do a roll to revert you are landing regular not fakie so it wouldn't be called a roll to fakie because it would be a switch roll to revert or I guess you could call it a switch roll to regular.

haha yeah KCW, we could add half cab terminoligy. A half cab is a switch fs 180.

Colefooter, I think KCW was making the point that a switch roll to revert is a halfcab roll.... So every 'to fakie' is considered 'to revert', but not every 'to revert' is considered 'to fakie'. Am I right??????? And 'to fakie' and 'halfcab' mean the opposite of each other. Fakie means 'to switch' and Halfcab means 'from fakie back to your normal stance'.

OK people is to revert and to fakie are the same excect thing they just put fakie on some of them and revert on some of them . And when you do a half cab you have to go from switch to regural . If you said it like that then a hlaf cab roll and a switch backroll would have the same name.
