Burton uses a ribbed eva foam on its junkyard snowskates that is waterproof.

I'd like to use that for grip, but I can't find anywhere to buy it by the foot.

Any ideas where to get it?

jws, are you making your own skate or what? i know what burton grip you are talking about. maybe if you really wanted that you could email or call burton and see if you could special order it or something. if your not making your own, then just buy a foam skate it would be a lot easier.
