Premiere...

I recently downloaded Premiere 6.5 and it seems really jumpy. Anyone know why? I'm thinking it could be 'cause I downloaded it...

get more memory or a faster computer. it was designed to run on XP with at least a 2 gig processor and i think the box said 500mb to a gig of ram.

you definitley need a good computer. Sometimes it bugs on my 3.2 ghz pc. so you cant have more than one process running.

Fredrick Eisenhauer, might be because of your HD space or just how new your comp is. it runs pretty slow on my cpmuter and takes a couple minutes to start up but it works great besides that.

Well I got 80 gigs or something for space, about 70 is free. I think its just because I have really low memory, 256megs. Need to upgrade before I use it I guess.

Would because I have a slow computer be the reason Windows Movie maker jams up alot, it doesn't lag just freezes when I run it for a bit?

Fredrick Eisenhauer, yes it might be because it is slow. if i open premier with other windows up on my computer it will freeze and not open. i have to shut everything down then boot back up to try again.
