BTW, that weird brown border is a reflective gold on the actual cover. Doesn't exactly scan well.

Thanks fellas, seriously. I'm just glad it happened before I finished High School, so I can get it in my folio, just in time for university aplications.

RD, It's a remote flash I had set up underneath in a tube. The pic was taken at around 4-5am to a New Zealand sunrise.

Josh R, awesome shot man. thats really cool that you have already gotten a cover shot and your still in HS. that would be really fun to be good at photography, maybe thats what ill do cause it doesnt look like im getting anywhere in the boarding world right now haha. id rather do video work though. Congrats on the cover and good luck on future work. sick photo!

RD, Nope, Rich. I graduated in May, so right now I'm still in Cali trying to milk the summer for all it's worth. I just spent the weekend with Schwenne at his houseboat doing some shooting. I've also recently sent out portfolios to a bunch of newspapers all over the country to apply for paid internships that run January - April or May, that way I'll have a definite income over the winter before next summer rolls around (although I still have to decide if I'm going to do the Cali freelance wakeboarding thing next summer -- there's not a whole lot of money in it, so latching on at a staff newspaper for a few years and making steady income while still freelancing on the side is probably the road I will be taking before I eventually just do freelance full time). Are you still heading out to the Delta much? Let me know if there's anything ever going on where I could be useful.
