Mor than likely the plans have to be customized to your boat. But make sure you do some good engineering on the tower. I've seen a few homemade towers and pre-manufactured towers that were installed poorly, cause damage to the gel coat and other parts of the boat.

In my opinion I'd pay the extra money to have a reputable company that has a good product that has already been engineered.

And if you don't have $1000 and you still want a tower, either get a roll bar (Joystick, or Moneybar), or find a used tower and have a local welding shop modify the width to fit your boat.

i'm trying to make this kid one, cuz he's gonna pay me like $600 for it in my welding class, but i don't even know what to do, cuz normally they are made out of high grade aluminum (not cheap) and you need special welding gear b/c regular MIG welders will go right thru the aluminum, and that sux. I looked on the internet for some plans, and they are not hard to find, if ur willing to try. But you need a bender, a welder (do u have access to one?), a grinder, and an acetylene torch. prolly a couple grand in equippment... Unless you can use this stuff for free and ur good at metal work, just buy one, it'll end up cheaper. Or you could always get a pylon.

For used towers, I'd check on some local wakeboarding websites or other sites that have a classifieds section for wakeboarding gear, and finally check eBay.

If you are from Fredericksburg, TX you can check out dallaswakeboarding.com and there is a Moomba tower for sale on that website for $400 plust $170 for the mounting feet. All you'd have to do is have someone modify the width of the tower to fit your boat.

monsters are worth it.... i just bought one and installed it in a couple of hours. by the time you buy the material and find someone that knows what the heck they are doing you could save the money and buy a monster.

they are quick and easy to install, stable and quiet
