Hey, what'd you guys think? Was is showed all over the world?
I wondered where in the world Saddam is supposed to go, I mean, I wish he had the option so there was a chance we wouldn't go to war.
It was kinda short and he didnt' really address anything new, but I guess at least we know the rumors are true.
I just hope folks are back soon and Saddam doesn't make some kamikaze-type move, 'cause he's pretty much finished anyway. |

It's morning there??? We should have a response soon. If Saddam isn't leaving I wouldn't doubt attacks from Iraq tonight. It begins... _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

Yeah, I can't imagine him leaving now although I do believe he is a coward (aren't all bullies cowards?). There are several Muslim countries that have offered to take Saddam in. I don't think they really want him, but they really do want to avoid a war.
I thought Bush did an ok job with the speech. You're right, there really wasn't anything new but he made it clear that the time has come to act. He also made it clear to France that they screwed up. I will be surprised if our relationship with France doesn't change after this. It's one thing to not come out in support of the the war, but it's something else to take a hard line stance against one of your staunchest allies. |

It was shown live in Australia, on at least 2 of the free to air networks (we only have 5 or so), and on many radio stations. About 12 noon I think... then they cut to the parlimentary debate. I assume it was shown across most of the world. _________________ Terminate high thinking |

Australia has given the support in the form of 2000 troops, last time I heard. Hungary is jumping on. Britian and Spain are also staying firm. Not the support of the first war but enough.
France, Canada, and Germany have economically screwed themselves. The USA has already put limitations of Canadian imports. As Canada's largest buyer of export goods the USA can put a strain on that economy. The German economy is also closely tied to America. They are all going to feel the impact of not supporting the United States. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

I guess what I don't understand is why some people are so stupid. They think that their voice makes a difference.. Stop with the bleeding heart crap and support our brothers, sisters, friends, and fellow country men. Most of all support our country.. We need to take care of threats before they become a reality.. People don't understand that Freedom is not FREE.. Don't people like living in the USA? You think we where just handed it? When people attack the US (like 9-11) do people think the US should just stand by and do nothing? What kind of message does that send to every one else? Attack the US and they won't do anything about it.. This needs to happen before they are able to help terrorist assemble a force to be reckoned with. This war is about Homeland Defense, it not about the US being arrogant.. How long should Iraq be able to systematically avoid and put off things that they have agreed to do. I'm not pointing this at any one I just hate that people love to live in this country and are so ignorant that they don't truly understand the magnitude of where things are and just start shouting make love not war. Wake up.. We are doing what needs to be done to ensure our way of life isn't disrupted. Thank you for letting me vent.. Please support out Troops! _________________ "The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed."
