OK so I've been slacking as a big bro and need to get my baby sister (21) a wetsuit. She'll be using it mainly for surfing but I need to know what suits work best for girls. She's a 4/5 if that makes a difference.
I was thinking a 3/2 mm should be thick enough and maybe get her a 2mm hoodie/chest if she wants to surf north of SB. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

Hey Nor*Cal,
All the major manufacturers make suits fitted for the female figure. The idea of the 3/2 w/ hoodie's good...
In the end, for me, it's go and try it on....for surfing you may want knee reinforcing.

| I don't know how cold she gets but many of my friends including myself use a 4/3 during the winter and I live in SD. 3/2 are good for beginning winter and early spring in SD. I don't like hoodies and prefer booties, they spend more time in the water than my head. Prefer to be hot than cold, can always pull the suit to get some water in for a cool down. |

I have the RipCurl classic 2/2 shorty size 4 (4'11" 105lbs) works perfect for Florida 'winter'
yeah, a friend of mines b/friend called me last holiday season and wanted to get one for her as a surprise gift...but I told him he'd better have her try it on....cuz I was gonna go with the size up and the guys at the shop told me to def. get the 4...
It was fun 'modeling' it for them ...I felt like a freakin' power ranger. they seemed to enjoy it though... They insisted I come out and show them...it ....was ...kinda...wierd, now that I look back on it..hmmmmm
good luck!
Check out the new issue of SG mag it has an article titled "Well Suited"
SG's guide to your next winter fullsuit they feature:
Billabong Absolute X2 302 www.billabong.com
Exceed Empress www.exceedwetsuits.com
Xcel Infinity www.xcelwetsuits.com
Roxy Cell GBS Hyperstretch www.Roxy.com
Rip Curl Elasto GB Streamer 1-800-THA-CURL
O'Neill Heat www.Oneill.com
Body Glove Matrix www.bodyglove.com
but I think my fave (as far as gender specific) is the O'Neill Psycho 2
its a pinkish purple color fullsuit and I think its in the 4/3 I mean, we are still girls and we want to look cute (as possible) while rippin' it up!
hope this helps! _________________ www.420EMPIRE.com 'Whatever you want it to be'

ALPHA G/B FULLSUIT 4/3MM
Thoughts on this suit...
It is listed as G/B?
The materials they are using on suits are much different than my first few wetsuits. This can be seen in the Xcel suits and other neck entry suits. With the flexibility is Jet Pilot able to make a girls/boys wetsuit? _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |
