Well vid done but...

I can't get it to upload on here for some reason. Never used the media place on this site so maybe I'm doing something wrong or my file size is too big. You upload vids from same place as pics right? What's the biggest file sizes you guys have uploaded on there? Not sure what I'm doing wrong...I click upload and about 20 minutes later wheels stop spinnig on the browser and says done at the bottom but nothing in my gallery. Pointers ladies who have used that before?

dammmn sam..I'm waitin' to see it....I have no idea on how this gimmick works..we have that dedicated server, so I don't know how wakepics works..I bet Liz or J*Rock would know...

just got back from boarding...Jake is still at Worlds....I have no video from today though..Just me, Mike and Ian...and my cameras are all in Orlando. got to surf too Mr. Green

Here's all you do...

go to wakepics.com

Then go over to the left in the yellow box and register for an account. After you register under Media click "Upload". It brings up a box for you to search out your movie and upload it. After you upload, it will bring you to the page that your movie is on. Copy that web address and then it is your link here to your vid.

If your file is over 20 megabytes, you have to compress it first. You can do this with Windows Movie Maker. Just open the movie in Windows Movie Maker, save your file in "High Quality" (which is a misnomer b/c it is less than excellent quality) and it will cut your file down to about a quarter of the size. Wakepics won't take anything larger than 20 megabytes. The only other way that you can keep the quality of the movie and not compress it is to cut it into little bits and post each bit as a seperate film.

I'm sure there is a way to get a film in media here...I just never have. Wakepics does the job for me....and it is fun to browse there, too!

WB.com is supposed to have an unlimited file size. But trust me...it doesn't.

I couldn;t get either site to upload my version of me and angi's vid. I also have a new video I made that neither site would take. But the file sizes are alot bigger due to all the extra editing stuff (transitions...etc).

I usually save it for "video for broadband 512kbps" if thats too big try something smaller...

No, we don't have unlimited file size, it's capped at 25 mb. Really, if you compress correctly you should be able to make a fairly long video under 25 mb.

I'd love to do unlimited file size, but people try to upload really huge stuff, and we already have like 4.4 GB of files in there.

...just waitin' on Jake to get back from Orlando...he's 'en route but there is major traffic on I-4...so its on his 'priority' list when he gets home...I have the video I made from my view..then J's video she made and they will both be on 420Empire, I'll put direct links up asap!! trust me I'm anxious as well..cuz both vids are really good and I think the girls (and guys) will enjoy them!!

hey pat, why not have a 40 day disposal, after 40 days videos get delted to make room, or based on # of views they can last longer or disapear faster

Pat - I just tried to upload a 23mb, and it didn't work, I dropped it to 20 and it still didn't work... Neutral

I'll work on compressing it some more tonight. I just kept trying to load it cuz on the page that comes up to upload pics/vids it says no file size limit and the space you can have is unlimited. Thanks Pat for coming in and clarifying that.

Anyone use Roxio Easy Media Creator 7? I tried to compress it down more earlier and when playing it in Windows Media Player the song was waaay slow.
