they are not the best..depending though..they can be alright. I rode behind a 15 footer with a 70 HP engine. cleared the wake, 180s grabs.. pulled the boat allover the place, nearly stopped it when I cut..but other than that it was not bad. but a bigger whaler would throw out a pretty nice wake, especially if it had a bigger engine.
TIP: let some water into the boat, and then replug up..that extra weight is nice though doubt that parents like intentionally flooding a boat haha _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

| If you're looking for something cheap that will put out a good wake when weighted try moomba or and older ski boat for the top 3 (mastercraft, correct craft and malibu) |

Hey wakerider231,
A Whaler is a top-of-the-line boat IMO but not so great a wakeboat, there're a couple of folks here on the forum who ride behind Whalers - I'm sure they'll let you know what they do to improve their wake and what tricks they can toss behind it....
Don't know whether your dad is interested in looking at other boats? You can certainly find good used boats at about any price - Nautique 2001's are sold quite often but will need some work - mechanically they're prolly fine but need cosmetics, there are alot of folks who have I/O's wit hdecent wakes as well - search around a bit, you'll find find a good 'un

Any boat is going to throw a wake that you can probably do some jumps and tricks off of, but as you progress in the sport, you're going to wish you had a true wakeboarding boat (inboard). _________________ So, I've got that goin' for me...which is nice! |

Hey doubleup138,
Problem is, the weight shifts!!!! Sacs contain the weight where you want it...
