The lake i ride on is pretty shallow. In most spots it's only around like 10 feet or so and has some thick weedy spots. Was just wondering if anyone has ever had a problem gettin their wakeskate stuck in weeds on in the bottom of the lake?

my lakes 5 feet deep. ten feet is as deep as it gets but thats rare. no weeds tho. wakeskates float so i doubt it cold go more than a couple feet down before popping back up uless you are trying to touch the bottom with it.

Where I usually ride its from 3.5 to 9 .10 is deep.No I dont think youll have that problem. My skate hardly ever goes under at all when I ride. One of my dads slolam skiing friends was sking in very shallow water. He was standing up on bottom with his ski on and it got stuck in the mud and he never found it.I know its hard to believe but its true I swear.

haha that would suck.. I have lost some shoes in the mud when they drain the lake (like half way down) to kill of weeds and we're out skating behind a go kart. it is kinda startling. you are walking and then your shoe is gone from your foot and somewhere in the very deep, very thick mud that closes up behind you, you can't even see where you stepped last. Laughing Laughing

(there are dry spots that we drive the go kart on)

At a friend's cabin there is some crazy weed . His handle that sinks sometimes get stuck in the weed. After we pull the handle up, it is covered in weed. We have to take like ten minutes to take all the weed off. Glasses

yea, all those things you guys said are what i'm afraid of on my lake, but i figure the board is big enough that if it ever does get stuck, i should be able to find it. As for the weeds, you gotta hate the weeds in the water, but once you get on shore the weeds are what completes a run!

How do you board in 5foot of water? Don't you ever hit the ground?

i dont think i have ever gone 5 ft under water (on a crash),Fredrick Eisenhauer, because my whole river averages like 3-4 ft. the deepest is like 8. i have never hit the bottom.

I would never board in a shallow area..as I have gone down like 8 feet on some falls before. but a skate I would ride in as shallow as 2 feet.. I never have hit in water that shallow yet and its always good water too Twisted Evil
