Hi everybody, i am posting this message to ask you if anybody knows of the existance of any kind if fingerprotection devices for wakeboarding?

Yesterday while doing a rapped 360 i went off axis and felt, did not let the handle go and grabbed it very hard because i wanted to save the fall ... the boat gave me a huge sack an i broke both the litle finger and the other next to it ( the one which caries the rings ).

I had to do a small surgery and now i'll be out thewater for at least 3 months.

I love to wakeboard, those 20-25 minutes you are jumping across the boat wakes and pulling out tricks gives more pleasure than anything in my life... but now i am really scared, the doctor said that had the boat pulled a litle stronger and ny fingers would have been chopped out.

3 months from now i'll be a chiken and i am afraid i wont get back to how i was...

Is there any kind of real protection to your hand other than simple gloves ?

Has anyone else hurt themselves bad in the hand?

Sorry for my english but i am typing with only one hand so everything is harder to me.

I can't see there being anything that would work for that. Seems to me to provide protection it would have to prevent bending, which is pretty important in wakeboarding.

Sorry to hear about your injury though. That sucks. Hope you can get back out on the water soon eough!

The only protection is if your going down let go, holding on always leads to injury.
