2003 Bayliner 205, XT Wakeboard Package (tower and graphics),PERFECT PASS!!!, 5.0 carb v8, Extended Swim Platform, less than 50 hours, Custom Bimini and Tow Covers, Tower Lights and Speakers.

How much do you think its worth? The guy is asking $20,000. Says he has over $12,000 in accessories. Haven't seen the boat yet.

BTW, not looking at all at any inboards, so don't tell me to get a malibu or CC, etc.

Randy, those go for about 25k new IIRC. He does have a lot of accessories on there...

You will get responses like "Bayliner sucks" etc. etc.

Don't listen to the haters, the hull is lifetime guaranteed and the tower was factory installed (read: warranty).

It's probably a good reliable boat that will provide years of service and good times.

When you get pics, post em. Cool

Like Chavez noted, that boat can be bought 'new' for around $25K. The reality of Bayliner is though (no hating intended), that they take a beating in resale value for the first couple years before they level out value wise. And as for $12K in installed 'options', unless there's a whole bunch of additional items you haven't told us about, no way he's put that much into the boat.

Perfect Pass - About $1K
Bimini - about $450
Cover - about $500
Tower lights and speakers - about $1K (assuming just standard stuff installed)

Total - $2,950

NADA Gudies lists the value for that boat, equiped as you've noted between:

Low Retail - $17,500
Average Retail - $21,400

Based on NADA values, if the boat is mint with no issues/problems, the seller's asking price is in the ballpark. Just remember, every dollar you save on the purchase can go back into the boat (i.e. ballast, equipment, stereo, gas, etc).

Good luck. Smile

Thanks for the input and keep it coming.

We're also looking at a 2000 Glastron 205 GX, 5.0 carb, 2 different biminis, Big Air Pylons pole, for $14000. I think its worth about 12-13K.

I like glastron better, and am leaning more toward this boat. Currenlty my father in law owns a 98 larson (same as glastron) 22 footer and I love the boat, but its too big, erego, looking for a 20 footer.

Randy, Glastron makes a solid boat. If you can weasel the price down you may just be able to toss the pylon for a tower and maybe get some other fun stuff (i.e. PP, ballast) and still come out ahead of the asking price.
