Okay here is the deal. I feel like I am held back on my spins by the power I need to pull on the rope to initiate the rotation... Like when I am doing my ts butterslide to backside 180.... it feels like my arm cannot pull in for the handle pass unless I start with the handle close to me.
So I thought about finding any sort of object atleast 10 ft or so from the ground. Then you drape the end of your extra rope(dont use your spectra might mess it up) over the tree branch or what ever. Strap your weight object to that end. Walk as far away as it takes to tighten the line of the rope so the backpack/ weight is off the ground. Then practice pulling handle in by pulling on the rope handle effectively lifting the bag off the ground as a result.
I am also building the swing weight with bungees like in wakeboard mag (I think I saw it there) but with more weight so I can biuld some strength.
Any thoughts, ideas, constructive criticism? |

try and leave the wake on a flat edge, pop with your legs. Edging creates line tension that makes the line hard to pull. Work from there. Although it sounds like a good enough trainer. _________________ Hasta la victoria siempre |

| sounds like not a bad idea. yaa i find when your going for the backside surface 180 its kinda difficult to pull the handle in to pass it. quick question...is it that hard to pull it in when you try spinning in the air or is it harder or easier? but yaa i know what your talking about. |

| hyperrider, its easier in the air to pull the handle in IMO, but the actual handle pass and everything else is harder |

Yah I am having troubles getting past 360 (or a faster spun 3) or taking a 360 really big because of the line pull. I would think that it is probably more my form than my actual strength but figured it as an alternative to the milk jug deal so you can get a different feeling. I have been pondering it over and over because we ride approx 80-85 feet back and the wake is decently wide there. I think that I am not balled up enough and its creating part of the problem with why I am having trouble, if I pull really hard then I come off axis or if I go real big I come off axis right about where I pass the handle like maybe 210-270 degrees or so. I was thinking that with a larger amount of weight I could work on body position with a lot of tension at home.
Just an idea and trying to give people more alternatives to compensate(cannot really compensate completely) with water time. _________________ Hold up....Wait a minute.... Let me put some pimpin in it! mmmmph |
