Demo, demo, demo!!!!!! Try a few different boards and see what you like best. A post like this will only lead to tons of people with their own opinion on what board is best. You need to find out for yourself what is best for you. You need to try a few different kinds (and perhaps brands) and see what is best for your style of riding. I just bought a new board last weekend and I rode quite a few boards before making a decision. One of them was even a board that many people on here had high praise for and I (along with the 3 others riding with me that day) hated it. It would suck for you to spend $300 bucks on a board that you bought because someone said they liked it and you end up hating it. That's the exact reason why you should demo. Hope that helps.
Having said that, here is my input if I have to pick a board right now: I personally love my new 141 Premier and my buddy just bought a new 143 Parks and he loves that.
Good luck

to me it sounds like you're on a budget. It will be impossible to pick up a board AND bindings (which you probably don't have) for that price, at least brand new. To me it sounds like just about any board would suite you now, at this point in time, trust. Not trying to put you down, but probably won't make a good enough diffrence for you to lay down a lot of cash on a board.
That said, I would suggest you look into beginner boards from the major companies if you have bindings. See if you can demo any HL Motive, HL Juvi series, LF Evo, CWB Sol/Flame. Those companies have a pretty good reputation but run a little higher than other companies. I don't know a ton about other compaines though.
I would suggest you look into other companies as well, check out the begginer boards Hyperlite, Liquid Force, CWB, Double Up, Blindside, Gator, and Obrien offer. There is a gear guide on this website (top left of this page) and also you can check out the boards on the websites of the companies I listed.
As far as bindings go, go into your local boardshop (if you have one) and they will definetley let you try on the bindings. Look for ones with a not-to-tight and snug feel, they should also be easy to get in and out of since hard ones to get in and out of will probably get you frustated. Look for the bindings with lots of adjustements, Like laces and straps.
If you don't have a boardshop near you there are a few online dealers. Check out wakeside.com, buywake.com cheapwakeboards.com and boardersparadise.com
Good luck in your search for a new board. But most of all, have fun! |

i adore ebay... i just picked up a brand new 2005 Liquid Force Exo 138 for £195 [ a bit more in dollars] and its 400 new!! Haha... i love that sight... i also picked some LF alpha bindings to suit and i am super happy with all of it. Trust me Ebay is the best place to pick up some quality but cheap boards... happy searching!! xx _________________
