Newbie Just Bought a Board

I just purchased this board.

Didn't want to spend over $150 for board and bindings. Is this about the best I could hope for?

I'm 6'2", 190lb. Am I too big for it? I use to ride skate boards a LOT growing up (half pipe and street). When snowboarding first started up I instructed at a ski resort for a couple years. I hope wakeboarding isn't that much different. Seems like you would lean back more on a wake board than you would a snowboard. At least for turning. Anybody have a link that explains the basics of wakeboarding?

ive never heard of that board, but i have those bindings.... sorry to tell you but they suck. they fall off when you pop off the wake, but i only wear a size 10 so maybe they are better for larger feet. sorry for the bad news. EBAY is the best for boards cheap.

Best advice - get a lesson...next advice - watch some of the video clips here on the forum...it's good you've had experience with other boardsports, you'll pick this up right away.... mostly even weight on both feet...keep the handle in towards your hips...keep your eyes up (look down, fall down)...since you've boarded "on the hard" so to speak, you'll pick up carving with no problem.

The "universal" bindings do not usually fit so well but hey, you'll be able to get out there and get a good solid start - when you upgrade, you'll be quite impressed - sorta like going from rental snowboard gear to your own. Board size seems to be about right for your weight/size. Like I posted over on your other question, get a good Spectra mainline and HIT IT!

I snowboard and wakeboard and the diffrence between the 2 I find is that snowboard you control your speed by carvin and wakeboarding its pretty much the same speed...I find wakeboarding easier than snowboarding

Holy crap. Regular price for that board is $500. I would give $20 at the most. That board sucks man. Check Ebay.
