Boardstock is all about Wakesurfing this year. Sure, they'll have some great demo's with some pro boarders, but they're really pushing the whole wakesurfing thing. I don't think they've done the Demo thing since it was at Lake Shasta. Like others said, so much crap goes on at Boardstock now- it's not about the LOVE like it used to be- now it's all about the $$$$$$
I for one will have nothing to do with Boardstock. I'd rather spend the day riding the Delta!!!!

You mean like how the TV coverage of the last Boardstock was half freestyle moto? What? I mean...OK...it's hard, dangerous, impressive, and all that but:

1. What does it have to do with BOARDstock?

2. How many times can you watch a dude do a backflip on a dirtbike w/out getting kind of bored? How many people tune in only in hopes of seeing someone bite it hard?

salmon_tacos, how about them admission fees:

Last year my boat:

Boat = $20
People on boat $20 X 10 = $200
Telling the owner of Boardstock Promotions to go f**k himself = Priceless!

chavez,

How else do you think they'd be able to pay those freestyle moto guys to come and risk their lives for the spectators? I don't think they do it for free! Rolling Eyes Really though, it costs money to be part of the Super MTV **eXtreMe** HARDCORE RoCkStAr lifestyle so quit yer bitchin' and behave like a good little consumer.

Really- if I wanna watch some guys killin' it on dirt bikes, then I go pay to watch them. We're talking BOARDSTOCK here....... Remember wakeboarding???? Isn't that what BOARDSTOCK was all about originally? It's now become a Flea Market and half ass attempt at X-Games type entertainment. In fact, I'd venture to guess a good half the people that show up to Boardstock don't wakeboard, own a boat, or know the names of any wakeboard products or pros....
Just my opinion................................

So basically no one that actually likes to wakeboard is going to boardstock in Stockton!! I hope someone is paying attention to this forum. HEY BOARDSTOCK PEOPLE, YOU GUYS ARE NOT DOING IT RIGHT!!!!

I for one would probably still go if I could afford to. I have been going out on the Delta almost three times a week and money is tight, so at this point it is either boardstock, or a day on the water... hum... not a hard choice for me...

I feel you guys about the whole fmx issue. Its amazing how much it has taken over everything, x games etc. I have been riding/racing( b class racer) and its comical about all the posuers that are out there. I ride at hollister/metcalfe/moto and guys actually show up with fmx bikes to ride HOLLISTER. This places largest jumps that are hidden hits are MAYBE 60ft. what a joke. The whole socal fmx look is so played too.... Went to x games and like 50 percent of the audience had on the exact same outfit. Its funny to roll up next to an fmx'd out rider and 9 times out of ten he cant even triple.... what a joke, but its amuzing for me and my buddies.
