Boardstop says there have been no changes besides graphics. Wakeside has reviews saying the new board has better pop. Is the 05 any different whatsoever, because if it ain't, I'm going to find an 04 because I like the all black more. Thanks for any info.

I think my 04 has about another week of life left...

I wouldn't recommend the Byerly. I had a lot of problems with it in the rack and the rope catching on the cutout. You'll always need to make sure you don't put the board on the same side that you turn to pick up riders and also put it on the bottom rack with a board above it. This will keep the rope from being able to catch. When you are doing grabs you will slide your hand across and it isn't really that bad in the warm summer but in the spring and fall it will sting when you run your had across it.

I really loved the way my 04' Byerly road but after when I sent the board in for warranty and they sent a brand new one back I asked the shop to replace it with a Premiere and they did.

I dont think they made any changes because there werent any that needed to be made. Some people like the cutouts, and some dont. I personally think they make the board edge sick, and it pops massivly off the wake. the center beam makes sure there is never a flat "slap" on the landing, and that is where hard/uncontrolled landings get there start.

What else does this board need? maybe shave down the molded fins more, if keeping them at all. this board is soo solid, you dont need the molded fins.
