Jump higher. An ollie is only going to go as high as you jump, right?

After an Ollie try a heelflip, kickflip, or shuv-it or something along the lines of those. Your back wheel might not be coming how the ground alot cuz your not sliding your foot all the way forward.

If the back's not coming up then you're not lifting your back foot. When you ollie suck BOTH of your legs up to your chest. My stationary ollie is about waist high, you should be able to do the same.

Don't try any other tricks aside from maybe manuals or nose manuals until you get the ollie down.

Waist height? Damn thats high. But it depends on how t all you are, if I could ollie waste height it would nearly break the ollie height record. But don't try flip tricks till you got ollies down.

You get more height moving. the only thing to do is practice really using the techniques above.

cowcow93, ollie height comes from how well you can pop the tail. nothing else is moving the board upwards. at the same time, where and when you level it out with your front foot decides the overall height.

try just kicking the tail down (don't worry about sliding your foot out at first), just try and get the board to come up. after you're effectively getting the snap, then try leveling it out with your front foot. place it further than midway down the board and snap. your front foot doesn't slide that much (a few inches at most) so don't go freaking out and send your board across the lawn.

at this point, it's important to realize that your feet aren't synchronized. your front foot should start coming up RIGHT when your rear foot is kicking the tail. imagine a log rolling under your feet from front to back foot; you're going to jump off your rear foot (front in the air) then bring the rear foot up, and land both feet at the same time.

more height comes from timing the jump correctly. as you start to pressure the tail, bend your knees. right as you kick, jump (like you would with the log rolling example, front foot first).

if the board is shifting out in front of you, check your weight balance. you should be mostly on your rear foot, which will also add to height (more weight down = more snap).

hope that helped, good luck to ya.

Another thing you may want to try when you ollie moving is to poke your legs fowards once they reach your chest that way your even more flat, a little more height and some major style too.

try this: find something you can put your hands on(somthing thats about waist height) for example a Workbench a washer or dryer, or anything.
this will help you keep your balance and get moreheight

(yourhands will be holding most of your weight, this will help you jump higher)

it helped me when i was learing

metallica, it does help get ollies higher, but i don't think it gives you the basic fundamentals of the ollie.

here another tip- I notice that when im ollieing over something or up onto something it forces me to ollie higher. Try ollieing a 2 stack ( chances are you want land it the way your describing your ollie) Then take it dwon to a 1 stack youll notice that you can ollie over it much easeir then before
