Frankie.... I hate shopping in there when guys are lurking around. You know they're sizing you up and scoping what you're buying. It's just embarassing to me. |

Crzy... that's just it, it's creepy! I just don't get off on guys thinking kinky stuff about me. I'm just sort of shy that way. Or maybe I'm just getting too old. Nah, always been that way really. |

Just realized I'm being a bit hypocritical, 'cause I love scoping the hotties. Oh well, at least I keep it quiet. My hubby tells me i'm a huge flirt, but I don't think I am. I just have a good sense of humor. If the jokes come more readily around a hot guy, then well, they're just inspirational to me, that's all. |

Christy, just some info: If you are in victoria's secret we are picturing you naked. If you are walking near us, we are picturing you naked. If we happen to see you across the room, we are pictureing you naked. Do you follow? It doesn't matter where we are or where you are. If a guy thinks you look good, he has pictured you naked. _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4. I get my wife something from Victoria's Secret at least once a month. Here's a message to people who work there, or in any women's clothing store:
If you see a guy browsing through the panties or something racy, leave him alone. See, I consider myself a very liberal, modern man with no hang ups about sex or intimacy, and even though there is nothing wrong with a guy buying his girl lingerie, I still get totally flustered when an aggressive sales person approaches me to help me shop for thigh highs and a bustier for my wife.
I've got a thong in my hands, and this woman comes running up to me, and she's like "do you have any questions?" I'm like, "yeah, this is pretty nice, but do you have anything that will make my wife look REALLY slutty, you know, kind of in the vein of "french prostitute"? See, tonight is fantasy night, and I'm hoping to spank her, so I'll need something that really bares the buttocks. Any suggestions?"
Just kidding, but you know what I mean. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

I try and spoil my fiancee with nice stuff too and it always ends up flustering you. Especially if the sales girl who comes over is extremely hot. You're sitting there with this racy little outfit in your hand trying to figure out where all the ties, snaps, and buttons go and then this hottie comes over and asks if you need help. "Yeah, I need help. Go try this on, I need to figure out how I'm going to take this off of her tonight. It looks pretty complicated!"
Hahaha, it's amazing how flustered I get in there.
Here's one to top it off though. My fiancee (girlfriend at the time), her mom, dad, and myself were all in the mall. We were going to her cousin's Bah Mitzvah (sorry if I spelled that wrong, I'm not Jewish) and her and her mom both needed stockings. So, we go into Vicky's - all four of us! I'm trying to look at the floor cause her dad's giving me this look every time I look at something. He know's I'm picturing his daughter in it! You want to talk about uncomfortable! _________________ Dan DeLaiarro

Yikes! I'd be like "so, how about those Mets?"
There are a few groups who are trying to get malls to mandate that Victoria's Secret can't have lingerie or photos of women in lingerie in their windows. I think that is pretty screwed up. Any thoughts? _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

are they targeting just Vicky's or all lingerie shops (Fredericks, private boutiquettes, etc)? I think that, as long as the displays are tasteful, there's nothing wrong with it. It's nothing different than what you see in a department store flyer in your Sunday paper. Maybe a little more fashionable, but no different.
What is their motive? That kids shouldn't see it? If so, are they trying to ban TV shows as well? Hell, it seems like almost every week there's a Bra-n-Panties match on WWE. Well, bad example, they've had a parent's group after them for a while. It comes down to parents being responsible for their children.
I've always said...you need a license to drive a car, own a gun, even to solder a joint for plumbing, but you don't need any certification to be a parent. Does anyone else see anything wrong with that? _________________ Dan DeLaiarro

b-rad..... uuhhh, I'm flustered, don't know what to say.
cameraboy..... funny story! Glad to know guys feel weird in there too.
dan.... even funnier story. Reminds me of Meet the Parents.
And as far as the pics in the window go, I think as long as they are tasteful and not showing more than a bikini would, it's fine. Kids see much worse in lots of other places. It's probably just easier to sensor a showroom window. |

Dan--that must have sucked. I can only imagine. I personally would have just left the store. Can't handle that kind of heat.
A girl I knew in high school worked at vicky's (later, not while she was in high school). She was telling me some stories about it. It was pretty funny. For a while they had one of those little TV/VCR combo units on a table in the store and it had a Victorias Secret promo tape in it. Kinda like all the TV commercials they had put together plus some extra stuff. So they would play this thing all day long in the store as some sort of advertisement. The funny part was, she said that they kept having the tapes stolen. Guys who came in the store (whether it was with a girl or not who knows) would eject the tape while nobody was looking and walk away with it. She said they went through a lot of them. _________________ How do you apologize to a friend for something like that? Flowers would not be enough. |

I guess it's all lingerie shops, and the parents groups say that they don't want their kids exposed to women in lingerie. That seems twisted to me. What's wrong with a woman in lingerie? Is there something dirty or wrong with the female body? Are lingerie models being abused or exploited? I don't think so. Majority decides the morality, though. I guess I can't force someone to not be offended by the storefronts, and if there are enough repressed people who want to mess up their kids with shame and disfunction, then they should stop coming to the mall, and the mall will do what they have to do to get their business back.
However, I deeply resent it when people try to censor what I can have in my own home. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

I used to date a girl that worked at VS. She would always tell me some very funny stuff...pretty similar to what you guys are talking about.
The best part is she would blow most of her paychecks in there every payday, and I would go in there to help her pick out her new gear....
Those places don't bother me one bit. I like messing with the sales girls when they approch me...classic! |

For example, you can having a porn movie playing 24-7 in your home. Does that mean that it should be allowed to air on the video screen in Times Square? You can have a naked housecleaner come in and mop your floors. Does that mean that they should be allowed in the mall? _________________ Dan DeLaiarro

I didn't say that at all. I mean that I don't think people should try to impose their sense of morality on what I can have in my own home. I think that anything involving only consenting adults should not be subjected to somebody elses sense of morality. People should stay out of other people's bedrooms.
There's another group who are trying to get the pay-for-porn channels taken off of the televisions in hotel rooms. That ticks me off because it is you have to order it in order to be exposed. So don't order it. But don't take away my right to do so.
This debate is stupid anyway. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

there's nothing wrong with VS in my opinion. i have no problem walkin in there to buy somethin with pics up on the wall. just because there's pics doesn't mean that u have to look at them lol. some of my friends are like 'omg - how can u shop their and not be embarassed?' im like 'ugh... im buying bras and underwear, what's so bad about it?' they have some of the cutest tank tops there too! u can't go wrong... |

When shopping with my wife & children I feel that window displays of floor to ceiling photos of women in lingerie are too racey.
I don't want to take anything away from anyone, I just wish that it weren't so unavoidable.
The VS in our mall is a corner store on the center court so there are 6-8 huge window photos. I don't want to hide sexuality from my children, however I do want to be able to teach them to be modest. This public display of women in underwear undermines the standards that we have for our family.
Yes, they understand that the women in the pictures are not going to the mall like that. Yes I know it's advetising what is in the store. Yes, I think the pictures are attractive. Never the less, I feel like they're a little too much for the outside of the store.

At first I thought that Brad Ruleman was taking a dig at me for living in Idaho, then I looked a his profile. Maybe he thought I was lost & was trying to help me out. I've never been one to leave a favor unreturned so here goes.
Hey Brad Ruleman, you're in Tennessee.
