Question: myself and 3 others (2 couple, both guys are doing good, 180's,360's w2w, lip tricks ect with some flippy things, and us girls...stuck in can't get w2w down and just learning opposite footplay) are looking for instruction. relatively all beginner, we would love to spend a long weekend at wakeboard camp, but didn't know if #1)are we too old (ages range from 28-33) #2)can we reserve a time when all 4 of us can go together and #3) given our beginnger status, are we jumping the gun on looking for professional instruction? (we just don't believe our husbands when they give us advise,,,,,or we don't WANT to believe them, don't know which?) and #4) which camps are recommended suffice we qualify the first 3 prerequisits. thanks for any advise.

IMO you are never too old for most things, certainly not getting professional training to improve your wakeboarding. I would say definitely setup a session with a trainer, I am not familiar with your area, but here we have places that charge by the lesson, and you can take your stuff and your boat if you want, so you have all the same equipment. I would recommend something like that. No reason why all four of you could not go too. As far as jumping the gun, there is never a wrong time to seek assistance if you ask me. That is what this board is all about, you are just getting a different kind of assistance. As far as finding a place in your area, I would check out the internet, or hopefully someone from this site in your area will chime in with this information...

Good luck!!!!

You are definitely not to old to hit a school. I'm 40 and hoping to hit a school or camp next year.

I went to The Wakeboard Camp in Clermont FL this summer and half the people there were over 30. I havnt been anywhere else but from what other campers were saying about their other experiences- TWC is the way to go. Kyle Schmidt is the stuff and Ben Greenwood is the man. www.wakeboardcamp.com definently the best week of my life.

If it wasn't for some professional help I would still be going wake2wake with my front leg stiff. Getting instruction as a beginner is probably better as you will learn the basics properly.
