|
|
im trying to teach a friend to tantrum but hes to freaked out to try it at his normal riding speed (20.5 mph) cuz wenever he falls he gets so messed up. Do you think it would be a good idea to slow the boat down to 15 or 16 mph and have try it just 1 wake so he could learn the rotation and throwing it without getting beaten if he stalls out upside down? _________________ "My wife waxed my back once....

you really can't get a good progressive edge at 15-16mph. That is way too slow and he'll never be able to get enough speed to pop off the wake and trip himself. Tell him to stop being a wuss and deal with it. I've taken some bad falls while working on tantrums but you deal with it and suck it up. If he's afraid of the trick he will never be able to do it until he conquers the fear. _________________ Alaska: Where the men are men and the women are men. |

dont slow down. get him to practice backflips on a tramp for hours at a time. its incredible how much getting used to the rotation will boost his confidence. _________________ www.flukdfilms.cjb.net

| Keep the boat the same speed. Tell him to think more about the pop first then the rotation. If you wait on the pop, everything else comes easy. Make sure he opens up too, meaning square your shoulders up with the wake. Put some time in on the trampoline like the other guys said. Make sure you look straight back and not over your shoulder or you will start to spin. I did all this and was landing tantrums on my 4th try and i have never had a bad fall, and i suck. |

landed one on the third try..no bad falls, no slowing down. but I have been on trampolines for years and they really help out with knowing where you are in the air. _________________ Keep Austin Weird |
