Good evening.
Im thinking about getting into wakeskating. Ive been wakeboarding for a while now, but when it comes to a new board, 100 for a board sounds alot easier than 300 for a board, then 200 for bindings.

first thing, I use a 135 cm wakeboard, what size wakeskate would you recomend?

when i get up wakeboarding, i lay on my back with my wakeboard floating... how do i get up with a wakeskate?

also, what is a descent board to start out on, that will last me a long time and continue to perform as i get better. any websites?

i found this on ebay. would any of you recomend it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=47363&item=3694898949&rd=1

I am 5'8, 150 pounds btw.

thanks for your time.

when you get up on a wakeskate, you hold the board against your feet, and wait til the boat gets the line tight. after the line is tight you can put two hands on the rope because the water will make the board stick to your feet. from there on out it is just like getting up on a wakeboard.

i agree its better to spend $100- dollars on a skate than $500 on a board. wakeskating is really fun and the tricks really arent that hard to learn. that skate on ebay looks pretty good. i would have suggested ebay anyway. hey, for 60 bucks you cant go wrong with a cassette.

yah getting up on the 'skate isnt as hard as it might seem. easiest way for my friends to do was to do a kinda ...deep water start. theyd have one hand on the board to keep it steady then as soon as the board broke the surface theyd let go of the board. ...its alot like what wakekid said.

as for starting board ....we started with a foam deck just for the convience of everyone that wanted to try it. it is alot of fun just for the difference between riding with bindings and not ...little weird at first but youll get used to it.

and what size should i get, im 5'8, i like a 135cm board, what size wakeskate would suit me best.
