How many wake boarders have Atention Deficit Disorder

I was just wondering how many people besides myself have ADD and wakeboard, I for one think it helps because you don't really consider hte consequences of things before you do them.

I have ADHD. wakeboarding is the only thing i have been intersted in for more than one summer in a row or for a week straight for that matter. i get bored with stuff too easy!!

yeah i have ADD and it is kool at times and at other times its not.. like when im studying for a test or sumthing i freak out and stare at the wall for like 20 min and dont even realize it..but then when everyone is all quiet or somthing i can freak out and scream for no reason.. its fun you should try it

I had (still have?) ADD when I was growing up... I was on ritalin until like 13 or so... after you reach puberty, they take you off of it because it's like taking coke.

If I remember correctly, ritalin is a extreme stimulant that "short-circuits" your mind into slowing down. All I can remember is that after I started taking it, my grades improved and I got into trouble a lot less frequently.

I still can't focus on anything for super long (other than wakeboarding Smile

) meetings at work are awful to set through...

it kinda sucks for my bro's friend. he finally got testing done to see if he's adhd and he got the test back. it said that he had other a bunch of disorders that's pretty much adhd, but not quite. so he doens't get as much funding from the gov't. but the good thing is that the dr told him to get a bigger monitor and more powerful speakers. i think he still got $4k, so it was pretty good.

The symptoms are you can't concentrate on stuf. If you have adHd, you're hyperactive too but I just have regular old ADD. Hey what do y'all mean by funding? They jus give me a little extra time on tests and projects and stuf, who gets $ for having ADD? And how do you vote for these little pole attachment thingys?

Interesting topic. I just read that there was a link between persons who have higher levels of activity -> hyperactivity and attention deficits and increased participation in adrenaline thumping x type sports even well into adulthood.

ADD is just another way for the drug companies to push more of their shitdrugs onto the American people. Bethany said something above about 90% of the ADD cases are in America...how can that not make you wonder??

let's face it: ADD = slacker punks and the medical industry wanting to make money.

Just stop eating so much goddam sugar.

There is a cure for 90% of ADD and ADHD cases: Its called good parenting. For the real cases out there, the familys who are miserable and the kids who are failing school and can't explain why, I offer my condolences and hope they find a treatment that doesn't involve some brain numbing drug.
