So I was out riding last weekend and finally gave up on trying to go bigger/farther on the jumps. I got tired of trying, so I went for a w2w 180. Caught the backside edge a few times and finally just decided to quit cause my brain was tired of rattling around in my head.

This week I read some posts and decided to try non w2w 180's. To my suprise I kept going bigger and farther when I WASN'T trying to go w2w. I really liked this because a few times the people in the boat said I was getting 5-6ft of air when i usually have give it my all to get 3-4ft. This got me totally stoked and I was up for anything. Once I relaxed everything just started to come together, it was extremely sweet.

I kept going for 180's and could do them, but never stick the landing. I started this post to ask which 180 to try first. Toeside, healside, switch or regular? I'm mainly wondering which is the easiest to land. Launching and rotating dont seem to be much of a problem. On the water I'm fair at doing surface and ollie 180's.

Hopefully I will finish building my tower this week and would really like some tips so I can make my first time with my tower a good one.

My switch riding is fair, its probably half as good as my regular riding. I'm constantly making myself ride switch for at least a little bit every trip out to get better, but it is annoying to have to try so hard to just "ride" when i'm switch. Always getting better though.

You should try a TS 180 first, it's the easiest one since you land switch HS with your weight leaning back against the rope most people can stick this one first or second try. I'm also guessing you need to work on your progressive edge, the easiest way to practice this is with a short cut (maybe 5-10 ft) it will really help you with height and distance. Alot of people will cut way out then start with a good edge in toword the wake but let the board flatten off in anticipation for the pop ,but all this does is kill your jump, remember you want to make sure your still edging at the top of the wake.

gobeer net,
As JKing said, try this order:
TS Frontside 180/ TS FS 180 Switch
HS Frontside 180/HS FS 180 Switch
TS Backside 180/TS BS 180 Switch
HS Backside 180/HS BS 180 Switch

Do them in pairs - it's easy, because when you flip the 180 and head outside the other wake, you're already in position for the switch version of that 180. For each pair, do them on the surface first, then inside-out, ollie, one-wake, and finally take them w2w.

Good luck!

not really what you are asking about, but i wanted to address this problem. Most likely when you were tryling so hard to w2w you got to cutting to hard and fast, and weren't using a good progessive edge. Practice your edging.

I find switch hs 180s easiet.
