Ok, im a little lost as to the difference between a backroll and a back flip, when you perfrom a backroll you are doing an actual backflip tucked in however when you do a back flip it is pretty much just a backwards cartwheel motion is this correct? _________________ "Live to wakeboard, wakeboard to live" |

| There is no such thing as a backflip in wakeboarding. It's either backroll or frontflip. Backroll is like a reverse cartwheel, it is kind of a mix of tail-over-tip and a little edge-over-edge. Mexican backroll is like a frontflip the you would do on a trampoline, it's edge-over-edge. A frontflip is just how you would do a normal cartwheel, it's tip-over-tail. |

| yeah we had some big debate about this trick not to long ago that was pretty similar. i think it's moreof a front flip and that there is no backflip like there is a frontflip. because a mexi roll like WhirlyBird5, said is a front "flip" type thing. so many people do backroll's but they all look different. some go like a reverse cartwheel, i do a mix between that and a mexiroll and some do straight out mexirolls |

| the backrolls that i mostly see are generally 90% done with both hands most of the way thru until the landing, the mexican backroll is one handed most of the way thru, causeing it to be a more straightforward rotation, like a tantrum but the opposite direction. |

I thought most people did mexi rolls still with both hands?
A backflip may be your idea of a tantrum. Which is just a strait backflip off of the wake with a trip flip. |

to me the trick doesnt look nearly as impressive as a normal backroll |
