I want to know what's the easiest one to try, the backroll, the tantrum or the scarecrow. I spin them very easily on a trampoline with an handle.

Tantrum of backroll for sure. Don't try the scarecrow till you either learn bolth of thoes or a frontroll. Anyways.

The tantrum requires a trip-flip edge (check trick-tips on the site) where you edge in HS, sqaure your shoulders to the wake switching to your toesdie edge), and alot of people can do them with poor technique unfortunatly.

The backroll requires a harder progressive edge. Check the website.

Hope thie helps. Have a good one.

Why do people ask what trick they should try?? Just go out there and try something; some tricks come naturaly and some are harder but you can only find out which tricks are easy for you if you atleast attempt some of them.

hey man this is what it is with me. I can backroll and front roll but not tantrum.
i'd lay off a scarecrow at least untill you can do a front roll, and lay off that untill you can do either a tantrum or backroll.

HS BACKROLL:
this trick is really easy but takes a while to get it dialed.

it's a nice progressive edge, alot of people think you have to edge really hard which isn't the case. first off don't let this trick confuse you with a backflip (as some people do) or a frontflip. it's a mix of both. but don't think like it is.

you gonna edge out for a good HS wake jump and let the boat start to pull you in, as you get closer start adding to your edge. hardest edge (during trick) at wake. right as your about a foot away from the top of the wake look at your lead shoulder and stand tall.

that's a pretty good description i hope

if you can land switch very well on the water, you could try a scarecrow but you would want to start with a tantrum or backroll first so you know the feel of doing a flip on the water. scarecrows are intermediate flips though, in my opinion, because first trying them after a tantrum i always landed on my butt and would get my foot shoved up in the binding but my foot was a little small. but definitely do a tantrum, and just throw it like a regular backflip on a trampoline but make sure you hole onto the handle...that was always my problem

midwest wake, the frontroll is alot harder than a scarecrow....id go with the backroll.....tantrum requires the trip flip edge which is harder (to me) than a load and release edge.

it might be easier, but you'll lose the basic's and then not take it to tootsie roll. or at least be harder for it. i haven't tried a crow yet but i can land front rolls

After learning scarecrow i had no problems learning ts front, if thats what you mean.

Go with backroll, just land it then do a scarecrow so you have a hs and a ts invert.

Tantrum MAY be easier though.. just go try it.

Better yet learn all 3 in the same day!

I agree with ronik 12. Time on the water is the most important thing. It is very useful to talk endlessly about these things but actually trying it on water is more important.

Trouble is when you are working every day until 7PM and it gets dark at 9 this only leaves weekends. Then it is dependent upon weather and driver availability.

I can only manage about 2x 15 minute runs a day and then I ache for 3 days after.

The trampoline is useful too for fitness and technique but not as good as the real thing.

good luck
Wink
