Okay...earlier I posted where can I buy fins. But last night I found mine. I'm new here. But the fins I have are 1.5" I have a Luke Wolf DblUp. It has no channels running the length but four molded fins on the corners. I know it's not a biginners board...but I got it free through a Bud Light promotion. .....to the question....should I get "deeper" fins? to keep me from loosing my traction? Should they be longer from front to back? etc? Or is it enough and it will only make me learn how to edge better?

I just dunno.

Well, as a beginner I would say 1.5 inches would be a good size fin to start off on. I use them right now and love them. They hold edging good and I can switch the board around in the water with out to much grip.

DBudman - Is there any way you can get me a bud light or budweiser wakeboard? That would be so sweet! i'll buy one from you if you have one.
my last next door neighbor was a beer distributer and he gave me a "Pete's Winter Ale" logo snowboard. It was awesome & everyone asked me where i got it.

As for your question - i got my 2" fins shaved down to about 1.25" and i thought it was much easier to ride smaller ones

1.5" is plenty. You shouldn't need to go bigger. Learn to use your edges to cut. Then when you start feeling comfortable either buy or shave them down to .7"s

1.5 is still a little big once you're proficient

Thanks for the Tip Kurt!

Yes.........Anheuser Busch actually has a Bud Light wakeboard. I haven't seen it in person......But I know I can order it for you and then ship it. I have seen it on print. I do know it's an O'Brien, 3-stage rocker, straight edges, molded-in fins. THe dimensions they give are 56" x 17" I think that's around 140-142ish in size. I also have been trying to figue out which O'Brien it is. I will look for a picture to email you. My cost is $270 plus shipping. Obviously that's the cost I'd pass onto you. I was thinking of ordering one too. They also make a Bud Light two person tube that my kids just love. Nice quality It's the speedzone II which Overtons sells for $199 and the Bud Light Speedzone II is $145. And the Bud Light has cool Graphics.

DBudman,

Thanks man.

That Bud Light wakeboard sounds awesome. Can you get as many of those as you want?

I don't need a new board now but in the future I'd love to have one of those.

Wakebrad,

Yea man!..........I'm thinking of ordering one soon too before they're out. Also before my wife knows about it and says "no more beer logoed stuff brad". Our home looks like like I shop at a bud store. From golf bags to T's to bbq tools. She's tired of it. LOL

Where can you get these Budweiser wakeboards?
My dad heard about them and really wants one. I think me and my brother might get him one if we can find one

.........oh now your following me. LOL

Um................I work for Anheuser Busch and they have them in this catalog we use to purchase promotional items such as hats and T's ect.

It's a Bud Light O'brien. Not sure of the model though. But I will find out. I've gotten a lot of request about them now. I should see if I can get bulk to reduce the price.

haha that's hilarious. I think the compromise I'm going to make is the garage can completely be decked out with beer stuff and whatever else. Then get one room in the house for my wakeboards and all my fun college crap.

I've got a friend who works for Bud and have gotten some shirts and whatnot. They make the coolest stuff.

Ive seen the wakeboard at a Bud store in Busch Gardens..

There are a couple bud stores at busch, and bud puts their logo on all sorts of stuff man, hell, ive seen little sailboats in there, surfboards, etc. Pretty cool.

But yeah, if you get details on the boards, let me know...
