Alrihgt, I went to the lake on thrusday and I focused on my 180's every way i could do them and did some 360 but couldnt pass the handle. Today I went to the lake for a few houres and I focused mainly on my 360. After a few wipeouts I got my handle pass down but when im landing outside of the wake im like laying down and just falling back and the rope just gets pulled out of my hand. One time i got my handle passed and a perfect rotation and laned perfect outside of the wake. I rode of perfect but the rope got pulled out of my hand. Im wondering how to land right and how to keep the handle in my hands. Is there anything the driver of the boat can do to keep the handle from sliping out of my hands? Thanks

Sounds like you might be throwing the rotation right off of the wake, which throws you off axis, or messes up your rotation. This might be what is pulling it out of your hands.

Take a nice edge into the wake and get enough pop to clear the wakes. Once your completely off of the wake pull the handle to start the rotation, use both hands to pull the handle in also.

Can you get a video? Usually helps a lot.

no, all the driver should do is go straight. Sounds like once the slack is gone and the rope tenses up you are just not used to the tension coming back. you are probably spinning to early too, even if you don't get the handle you should still be upright. pop then pull the rope to your hip, regrab with other hand and you will come around.

colefooter said it well. Your probably spinning off the wake. Another thing could be that your popping off the wake with the handle all the way into your hip and then letting it out once in the air which will pull you over.

Yeah get it on film and it will be alot easier for you. It helped me alot on my backroll. Just make sure you pass the handle at your back (almost touching) and not behind you with your arms out all the way.

don't spin with your body, its not like snowboarding. use the rope to start and finish all spins. when you pop, go strait up, pull with 2 hands LEVEL to your rear hip. if you dont have a strait level pull, it will tilt you off your axis.

as far as landing with the rope in your hands, try and finish the spin and look toward the boat when you land. its kinda hard to land and stick a late h/s 3. much easier to ride off with som time to prep for landins.
