I've heard that CWB isn't that high quality. I've never ridden a drive, but the other hyperlite boards i've had are pretty heavy. The substance is a really good board and it is good quality. I would go with any size between 138 and 142.

from who? CWB is pretty quality in my eyes. But as far as this year goes I think LF is taking the cake with their new equiptment, they offer so much to chose from.

I don't think the CWB is low quality, I have been riding my absolute for like 3 years now and it still looks brand new. I ride 3-5 times per week from april-october. As far as bindings I perfer the Liquid force bindings for comfort and fit.

I used to be die-hard LF, but I recently was converted.

CWB Zeus bindings blew away the LF Shanes & Watsons, I mean totally blew them away, IMHO.

The CWB Platinum series are pretty damn sick, custom flex patterns like snowboards. I know flex makes a huge difference. I had a hand shaped Jimmy Lewis Kiteboard that was sorta like the CWB Platinum construction, and I felt like the board was totally alive under my feet. I tried kiteboarding with Hyperlite and LF boards and they just felt totally dead, no flex that helped you. CWB is ont the right track with controlled flex (the snowboard industry figured flex patterns out a long time ago).

Plus, the Bonus....CWB Boards - Made in USA! Devil Guy

DaBigKahuna, are you the crack? What kind of crazy god-like zeus did you find? I've never found a CWB binding that could measure up to anything from LF.

Ctipping, I was thinking the EXACT same thing!

DaBigKahuna, I have the CWB Zeusses and LF Alphas and have tried many other LF bindings. The Zeusses are nearly impossible to get on and they try to snap your foot in half because they are so tight! the footbed is soft but has way to much arch. The main inside material is just rubber which hurts like crap after a while. The LF bindings are easy entry (neoprene liner) and snug but not oppressive. The footbed is about equal to zeusses but the liner is so soft I could wear my bindings all day. No comparison!

first i'd use board finder to get a general size of a board.
then i wouldn't ask a question of the fourms due to biast opinions.

It is quite ironic that the "Zeus" binding is un-godlike...

I know, I thought I was on Crack too! I always thought CWB was crap, never even considered them. I was like a total LF guy. But, when I tried on the Shanes and the Watsons I wasn't that impressed. Then the guy at the shop told me to try on the Zeus, I was like, Nah, that's alright bra. But he insisted I try them on, just so I knew for myself what they were like. I don't know what to tell you bro, but they fit my feet way better than the LFs, and they just felt awsome. I rode with them today and they were the shiznet! Again, just my opinion on how they felt to me.

On another note, I demoed the CWB Marius (It totally sucked IMHO), the Transcend (It was O.K.), and the 135 Absolute Platinum (This board is by far my favorite board ever, the kick off the wake was sooo clean). Again, this is just my humble opinion on what worked for me.

Morale of the story....DEMO BEFORE YOU BUY! If you rely on other peoples opinions on what will work for you, then you are screwed from the get-go.

DaBigKahuna, well its good to hear you have first hand experience. I guess some people just like different feel in their bindings. I like the comfy shoe feeling but some might want a tight waterski boot kinda feel, IDK. Youre definetely right though, always demo if you can. I tried the Marius as well (finless) and thought it popped really well and landed really well, just too wide and loose for me.
