Actually its not a diamond hull. Its the SV23 hull which is the same as the current '04 VLX. I ride with the wedge and about 1,500lbs of weight and the wake is great. If you need anymore info, just ask. _________________ Steal My Book

I just spoke with the malibu dealership and they said that is was the diamond hull? Is your boat a 97 model? _________________ No Falls No Balls No Guts No Glory!!!!!!!!!!! |

1997 should be the SV23 hull. There is a hull ID chart on malibuboatowners.com. I think the Diamond Hull came out a few years later. the current sunsetters do have the diamond hull.

looks like your right but that is a good thing for me. i didn't want a diamond hull. what kind of surfing wake do these boats throw? how is 18K with a tower, board racks, tower lights and speakers, the boat is loaded and in excellent shape with 600 hours on it. he said there is 6k in stero equipment. _________________ No Falls No Balls No Guts No Glory!!!!!!!!!!! |

Where are you located? Mine is set up to the gills and I can probably get 23k for it. 18k is really good depending on where you are. The surfing wake is good but you need about 2k lbs of weight on one side. _________________ Steal My Book

i'm located in tennessee but the boat is in alabama, so you think this is a good deal uh. i probably need to jump on this. Unless someone knows of a better wakeboarding/surfing boat out there.
thanks

My 97/98 would go for 22.5 / 23k easily. Interested? _________________ Visit my DIY Projects

Boats in the south are commonly a lot less expensive than on the West Coast. Check Boattrader and the like first. _________________ Steal My Book

i've been pricing some sunsetters around that year too. that sounds like a good price if the last owners took care of it. did you find that one on boattrader or someplace else? _________________ "Do not be alarmed, Continue swimming Naked!" - Chief Wiggum |

205 Prostar should be fine. I like the shape of those boats, they're cool looking with a tower. show us a picture or a link to the one you found. Is it less expensive than the Malibu? Why did you decide on that? _________________ "Do not be alarmed, Continue swimming Naked!" - Chief Wiggum |
