Today i started trying 3's again. i've landed one a long time ago and since then i've had no luck. today, when i did them, i would edge progressively and then at the wake let off my edge. when i did this, i was grabbing the handle easily, but spinning off axis. does anyone else do a three like that?????? It's the only way i can get slack in the rope for the handle pass. or is there and easier way??????

for my 3's I find I crouch a little on the cut in, then flatten a little just before the wake, then try to pop straight up as high as I can, then spine, if your going off axis, you are probably spinning too early leave it a second or two longer before you spin Very Happy

Don't spin off the wake, pop straight up, and keep your head up (don't look down).

For a good solid 3 don't worry about getting slack in the rope..the right amount will be there if you pull the handle with both hands.

Just worry about initiating the trick at the correct moment by pulling the handle with both hands after you are in the air and preferably at the peak of your jump to the small of your back.. start the pull with both hands and finish with your back hand right on the small of your back...

I take the same approach for my 3 that I take for a HS method wake jump.

The trick to the 3 is not generating slack, it's maintaining a solid pull and feel on the handle. Oh and looking at the horizon helps also....

Yea it's really all in how much and when you pull the handle to your rear hip with both hands. I find that when I pull quite a bit harder than I think I have to it makes the trick much easier.
