john - i thought that the '01 towers were different. maybe I am wrong. I was thinking of two things. either getting a rack that connects to the tower with only one part instead of two and that has a pin. that way i could just take off the rack every time i put the tower down. even though that would be a pain in the butt, it would work.
the other idea is to get the same type of rack and just mount them on the top of the tower. i dont like them as much on the top because it drips in the boat and is also harder to get them on and off.
maybe i should have titled this post '02 mastercraft extra racks. because i think they are all the same towers. i know SOMEBODY has added extra racks on their tower.
i did see a dealer have their promo boat with 4 racks, but i guess he didnt ever put the tower down. they were the exact same racks that come with the boat, but they were welded (just like the regular ones) on the top crosspiece. looked good, but now that i think about it, i dont think he could have put the tower down. |
