i took wakeboarding lessons recently and all the guy really told me was to work on loading the line but i dont really even know how to do that and all i can get is like 3 feet in the air right now

having the line "loaded" means there's tension in the line, you want it to be tight. Keeping your arms bent, having the handle at hip level, and practicing a good progressive edge keeps the line loaded.

Yep, loading the line basically means keeping tension on it all the way through the wake so when you pop off the wake it just pulls you into the air. Basically, if you're doing the progressive edge correctly then loading the line will take care of itself.
