I recently asked where people have their heaters installed but I never asked if they are worth it. Do they really provide some heat or is it too small to even notice?

they are a definate must if you live north of year round riding weather. They definately give out more that a little heat. Make sure you get a three vent model with a hot tube.

Yes, much much better than a shower. If you want to ride when the temp drops this is the best thing to invest in. Its even great for early morning sets, when the air is still chilly.

homebrew heater.
i bought a origanal a few years back for my mastercraft.when i took a good look at it i found out that it was a very simple design.
so i went to a (don,t know the english word)junk-yard where they take old cars apart.Took the interior heater from a citroen and the blower from a ford escort.
i made the box from wood...simple.connected it like a regular heater and voila, instant heater.
best part is it,s working better than the original...but maybe it is the different cooling system on my supra..my mastercraft has a cloosed cooling system.

3 vent heater with the hot tube is what I installed in my 88 mastercraft. I got a shower this year to install when the boat comes out of storage. The heater is a must I use it all of the time, even in the summer it is nice in the am to take the chill off. I put the pull out hot tube up my shorts leg and it drys them off quick plus keeps the boys warm.

Heaters are the shizzle...especially when coming out of a cold morning set. Nothing makes ya feel good like a fuzzy warm towel. Another benefit is that the heater makes it more comfortable for the women. Comfort = less b*tching: less b*tching = more riding: more riding = Very Happy
