WaKevin -

We have a cabin near Motley. If you turn the flood lights off at night, but leave the lights on inside, so many skeeters congregate on the window screens that you can actually hear the hum of their wings buzzing. It's frankly a little creepy.

For some reason the little bloodsuckers leave me alone, mostly, though. Must be my average BAC when I'm up there... Very Happy

I've been to Quetico too. I think the mosquitos in the region are manufacturing growth hormones for themselves... Shocked

Vitamin B is the ticket. You cna get it from any dark green naturally too. Something about your sweat, when you're packed on B, turns the mosquitos off.

Green beens, Brocollli, Spinach... ... Have a quiche guys! Smile

Man, the border waters are probably the best thing on earth, next to lake Powell. On the Canadian side, there used to be an old gal, living on an island, that made her own root beer for sale! She musta beenin or 70s in 1977. Best stuff on earth after a couple weeks canoeing and camping. We'd stop by that island every trip!

I love the Canadian side. No fly zone and no motors allowed. Nicest, queitest week or so you can spend. No access except Canoe. You have to start on the US side and do a couple portages to get there, but well worth it.

Well, I know the gals won't kiss you!!! Mr. Green

Vitamin B complex seems to be nature's bug repellant. Heard the old wive's tale, never saw proof.
