Lakes in Texas

Hey i taked to some guys on here a while ago that were really helpful in finding lakes to go to over spring break. Martin Creek and Brady Branch Rreservoir were both brought up. I am very interested in going on them. But i called around and from what i was told they are not clear cut and hard to get around on. If anyone who knows wouldnt mind answering a few questions that would be great!
uh, first which would you suggest to go to, how clear are they (are we going to have a hard time finding water. and also what is gas prices looking like down there?

Here's the official lake page for martin creek brady dranch should be in there somewhere. Looks like martin creek is contaminated with selenium, anybody know anything about that? Gas here in Dallas is about 165 for reg unleaded Oops forgot the link:
