| Maybe your throwing the rotation too much. Just ramp up the wake, as if it was like a big pipe. Cut to get as much speed as possible, almost as your cutting away from the boat. Tell us how it goes after you try it again. |

| as far as turning onto your switch edge as you land... make sure your handle is down and to your lead hip. also, one thing that helps a lot is to not cut like 15-20ft out. you will build a lot of speed, and that scares some people (which ends up making you let up a little at the wake). you will lose all of your pop if you do this. for me, i tried like a whole summer doing backrolls and couldnt get enough height. start only around 8 feet outside the wake and progressively edge towards the wake. dont let up. now i get plenty of rotation and height and im only starting like 8 feet outside the wake. it's all in getting the most out of your pop and handle placement. the actual rotation should be effortless. as long as you keep your hanel more towards your lead hip, you will not land switch. |

be sure to take a VERY progressive cut, don't take one big cut, you should be coming in starting very slow and then building up your speed really quickly, peaking as you are at the wake, this loads the line a lot, and is what spins you all the way around, and since you don't have to worry about hucking the rotation you can alsom work on grabs, how your landing, and spins tossed into it. And do like afxsguy said and keep that handle a little more torwards your lead hip, but not too much.
good luck dude |
