tower speakers

k so were getting a tower and i need an affordable price for speakers. whats ur advice? make speakers? buy speakers?

you want affordable? make them your self. I plain on making some this winter out of alum. The biggest cost is what speaker you want. I have already made a light bar that I will post when the picture comes back. the cost to me was 125 and at the shop it would have been 500. Shocked

yeah thats something me and my dad are considering. basically all that it entails is making hte inclousure and buying the speaker

Make them, I did had them chromed. and if your good with your hands like I am you'll save a butt load. made my own light bar too

Experience chimes in... If you are thinking about making them from raw aluminum pipe, with some sort of flat stock welded on the backs, you can produce a very nice looking product.

Nonetheless, having done some in PVC, then Aluminum, then find Raul's products (cans and clamps), it is very hard to justify trying to match the quality of those for just a few more $$'s than hours of labor intensive grinding, sanding, polishing to get your aluminum cans.

Not trying to discourage it, just saying from experience. And, given the chance, I might even try it again (making my own), but just in case, I have 2 8 in and 2 6 inch cans from Raul, including clamps, and spare lights. I could toss one together in short order if the need arose.

Uhm, NVS. You will cry when you hear these things...go rob a bank or something, do whatever you need to to get the money, because in the long run it'll be worth it, and if you go to jail, just turn 'em up a little and you will be able to hear them from your house.
