|
|
I have seen some discussions on Mastercraft building boats in Australia and know it was talked about under previous aussie post. I have heard through industry contact in Aus that Mastercraft is having discussions with an Aussie boat builder in Adelaide and is likely to be offering Aussie made Mastercrafts early in 2004. Dont know if this has any substance but would love to know???.
Any one in the US have contacts that could shed some light on the situation. Boat buyers desperately need a viable alternaitive to Malibu in Australia. Ie Mastercraft or Nautique. _________________ "It's all good" |

A little birdy told me Nautique was going to manufactured under licence in Aust by Haines Hunter. I'm not sure how reliable the rumor is. _________________ Niiiiiiiiice |

Ralph, i heard the same thing. Still no news anywhere as far as i can tell. My boat dealer is looking in to what happened and has tried to contact Haines marine but hasnt yet recieved a response. Would be nice if it was true. _________________ "It's all good" |

Turk, Thanks for the reply, If you dont mind me asking what are your sources ( in a general sense would be fine) as i know of a business venture here that is apprently seriously looking at the possibility, and I would be keen to know some more information if possible. _________________ "It's all good" |

Pj Dave, good news , Nice rig in your profile photo as well.
Lets hope we something soon and at a reasonable price. Would be nice to have a change from all the Malibus. We wakeboard on the Murray in SA and every second boat is a malibu. Dont get me wrong they are a nice boat, we just wanted something a bit different. _________________ "It's all good" |

Yeah it will be good to have a choice for good boats in australia, and in the future those top of the line boats will filter into the second hand market making it easier for everyone to have a world class boat. Second hand malibus fetch good prices because they are in a league of their own,, not for long hopefully _________________ www.wake.com.au |
