how should i finish my homemade wakeskate

Ok, just so you guys know i've made a wakeskate before. It turned out well but i was thinking of sealing it better than i did the first time.
I believe the first time i used a BEHR marine varnish. I was hoping that maybe someone has used a better product?
please let me know Asap, as i was hoping to use this next weekend.

I'm gonna try fiberglassing my next board. I believe I used varnish on my last one (but that one separated just this morning so i have to go back in and reglue it)
