Hey I just got back from my session and I was absolutely horrible. I couldn't land a tantrum which is a trick that i have become pretty fluent in doing. For some reason the last 2 times I have gone out I just can't seem to hold on to the rope. I rotate perfectly land nice but just can't hang on. My hands were so torn up that i have a blister now on my left hand. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe i will have to just wear gloves next time???
You probably aren't squaring up at the wake enough. The more you square up, the more line tension you lose. Edging through the wake generates lots of line tension, and you don't want that with a tantrum or it will pull your arm out or even make you pop the handle. _________________ www.ten-80.com
I've got a question for you guys too. I am just learning to do this trick and always seem to be pulled out of shape by the rope. If I let go while I enter the wake and lay out my flip I can land it, but if I hold on to the rope it pulls me into some kind of a wierd off balance flip. I haven't seen myself on tape but I know it's ugly. What enables you to flip with the rope and not be pulled off balance. More speed going into the wake? Please help a brotha out.

tantrum was my best trick for a summer, then i lost it for a year....i wasn;t squaring up in an attempt to take it bigger. so that's probably your problem _________________ UCSB Waterski Team
