Sounds like a stupid question I know. But being new here.....what length rope? The boat I have is a MC Maristar 210..... the MC X10 without the tower or bladder system......so that being said I'm using the pylon, with small to medium wake. I'm also using a ski rope.

1. Are Wakeboarding ropes shorter?
2. I know their tighter....being a beginner does a tighter rope really make a difference?

i usually ride at 60-65 foot range....I also ride behind a boat with out ballast, and the wake sux....Try not to have it to long as to where you are where the wake washes out....

I'd agree with colefooter,

Start with a short line just to get used to clearing the wake. As you start getting out into the flats start increasing the length of the line.

yeah shorter the rope bigger and less wide the wake. my dad has a crownline 202 and it puts out a big wake. havent ever needed a tower or pylon but my cousin has a smaller boat and does use a tower.
